Currently at the Binger Lab, Pietra Brettkelly is selected for The FORUM sidebar of IDFA, the international co-financing market for documentaries and Europe’s largest gathering of filmmakers, television commissioning editors, and independent documentary producers.

On Tuesday November 23, Pietra will pitch – as producer and director – her Binger project A Lightning Strike for the industry audience. Her documentary tells the story of a small Maori community that parts with a 16-year-old boy to attend Yale University hoping he’ll be the one to bring a future back to them.
